Senior Scientist, Protein Formulations

Email recruiter Responsibilities:

Pharmaceutical development of protein products from preclinical through clinical phases, including pre-formulations, formulation development, including liquid and lyophilized, preparing materials for nonclinical studies, tech transfer for clinical manufacturing, and stability studies. Additional responsibilities include evaluating new technologies related to pharmaceutical development, leading the development process for clinical manufacturing. The candidate will work within project teams, as a representative for the pharmaceutical development function and will interact with other functions such as Research, Analytical Development, Purification Process Development, QA/QC, Manufacturing, and Regulatory. This individual will be responsible for supervising junior members, evaluating and establishing new technologies, and writing and reviewing documents for regulatory submissions.

Senior Scientist, Pharmaceutical Development

Email recruiter Responsibilities:

Design and conduct preformulation studies supporting lead selection. Develop formulations for early stage compounds, with an emphasis on oral solid dosage forms. Design and execute programs to scale-up preclinical and clinical formulations. Oversee scale-up and technology transfer to contract manufacturing sites.

Senior Scientist, Solid Dosage

Email recruiter Responsibilities:

Conducting salt selection & polymorph screening. Characterization of physical properties of compounds using analytical tools such as XRD, DSC, TGA, Raman. Address development challenges for drug substance and drug product related to the solid form property. Maintain and operate lab equipment and analytical instrumentation in the solid form lab. Design and execute experimental programs to develop, optimize and scale-up crystallization process for drug substances. Coordinate with other groups within the company to ensure timely availability of Clin Trial Materials. Represent the group and provide technical expertise in cross-functional project teams.

Requirements:

PhD in Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related fields, 5+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry working with small molecule new chemical entities (NCEs), Knowledge of crystal structures, polymorphism, phase transformations, amorphous compounds, and physical properties including the application of analytical tools (e.g. XRD, HPLC, IR, Raman, particle size)
